I was very tired of Windows and didn't wish to have to buy a new computer just to upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7. My old desktop just didn't have the capacity to upgrade so I decided to switch to an iMac and so far I am very happy I did! My new machine is much quieter than my old PC and so far seems more intuitive. The times I have called in to Apple tech support I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I got through and the level of support has been excellent. I am not certain where Apple has their call centers but if they are outside of the US it is certainly not obvious. I have had excellent conversations with everyone I have spoken with so far. While I could have purchased a Windows based PC for less money I believe my new iMac will save me money in the long run and most importantly I require a lot less protective software than I needed with Windows.
