I call it "psycho island"..but that's a bit mis-leading cause there is SO much to explore, see, experience in an open world including animals, crafting, and skills. It can be a bit difficult to learn..at first, with so many options.. somewhat of a cross between Far Cry II and "Primal"..it satisfies as a "simulator" for a real possible "what if".. it WAS YOU..what would YOU do, what could you do? One will need the Internet to install the game.. a less than desired feature of the 21st Century.. unless you like the "multi-player" option.

I love FAR CRY 1, but only works on XP. So got FAR CRY 2 and love it and can run it on my Windows 7. So I ordered and got FAR CRY 3 - and found out you MUST register with UPLAY in order to finish installation and play the game - but UPLAY is no longer around so you're wasting your money if you try to buy this.

It loaded right on my laptop. But I couldn't play it because when I put it on I was where there is no wireless signal. The graphics kick ass , the story kicks ass, the controls are easy to figure out and fairly easy to master. As far as comparing, hmmmmm, as good as max payne and that say's a lot. One major likeing point the location of the controls is very similar to most other shoot em games, one hand on the mouse and the other in the area of w a s d, space , shift, r to reload, c to crouch, ect.... The only thing I don't like is that even in single player I cant play unless I am online!!!!
Lots of reviewers are gushing about this game. I like the game and recommend it, especially for the prices on eBay. That said, here's what I don't like about it: 1) The game world is huge but the story missions have you only exploring about half of it. I don't feel any incentive to complete the side missions after completing the story, especially with no need for extra cash/supplies. I feel like there's content here going to waste. A simple fix could have been to add an optional extra ending earned by taking over all of the outposts, and adding more variety and challenge to outpost assaults. 2) The two possible endings are much too contrived, coming down to a single yes/no prompt right at the end of the game. I would have preferred to assault the (re)kidnappers. :) 3) It feels like there's some mockery of modern video games (and players) in the story. This should have been done more clearly/explicitly, or thrown out.Read full review
The graphics of these games are beautiful and the gameplay and duration will provide hours and hours of fun, concentration, and a lot of action .. Highly recommended both video games .. Excellents and awards winnings triple A+ games..
