I like the size and playability of a short scale bass. The Ibanez micro looks good and plays well.

This bass has the following problems: top 2 treble strings buzz from the first fret all the way up the neck; the first fret has a sharp edge that should have been filed down during setup - this has already cut me (that's how I discovered it); the intonation is WAY off. Tech T-2 (per the QC tag) did not do the job on this one and it will require the attention of a luthier, cost likely between $50 - $100. I bought this bass to take on vacation next week as a travel bass but cannot get the problems fixed before then, so it does not suit its intended purpose. I also bought it because I have heard that new Ibanez instruments come well setup and took a chance that what I heard was true - not the case with this one at all. I am very disappointed, but will deal with it because hopefully in the future this will become my grandson's first bass.Read full review

This is a great bass for the price and for guitarists, it’s easier to play than a regular sized bass guitar. Plus having a small home recording studio the smaller size is a plus as well. Good buy.
