Commonly used as a universal uninterruptable power supply, or UPS, the UB1280 battery is a sealed lead acid battery, also known as an SLA battery, that is safe to use in close proximity to people and around equipment that uses batteries or electrical power. Construction of this 12V battery includes the electrolytes being housed in a fiberglass mat with absorptive capabilities, also known as absorbed glass mat or AGM. This means you store or use these 12-volt batteries in any position, without worrying about acid leaks, because the AGM protects the battery from damage. The UB1280 12V offers 8 amps of power per hour, or 8 Ah. The tab terminals are F1 terminals and measure .187 or 3/16 inches wide. The overall measurements of this UPG model are a length of 5.94 inches, a width of 2.56 inches, and the height is at 3.94 inches. The UB1280 8 Ah sealed lead acid 12V battery weighs 4.7 lbs. These measurements are standard ones for many lighting fixtures including lighting signage, spotlights, flashlights, and emergency lighting. The UPG 8 Ah sealed lead acid battery is also suitable for operating electric fences, as replacement power for garage doors, and for medical equipment like oxygen tanks. The UPG brand UB1280 batteries have an 8 Ah capacity of 82 percent, at six months and 64 percent capacity at one year. This universal 12-volt battery is a completely safe and maintenance-free UPS. You never need to add water to these batteries to improve voltage, nor do you need to do anything to maintain the SLA casing. This UPS 12V replacement battery is heavy duty, dependable, and has corrosion resistant terminals to prevent rotting and ensure safe use and without any maintenance during the life of the battery. Rather than buy a replacement battery for lighting and medical equipment, simply use the battery terminal as a battery charger, to recharge the UB1280 voltage to its full potential. Charge with a 12-volt one, or a two-amp charger, but no higher, so you don’t risk ruining the AGM during charging, by using a charger that supplies too high of a voltage. This UPG UB1280 12V battery is an ideal replacement backup battery for shopping areas that need security lighting or businesses that need a backup plan in the event of a power outage. With this sealed lead 12V UPS battery, you are never without the power you need.
