    Inexplicably wonderful!

    A great story about an Irish priest serving in rhe Vatican (based on a true story) during World War 2 who rescues Jews, Allied soldiers, and anyone else whose life is threatened by the Nazi's command. Eventually, he's even asked to risk stealing the Nazi commander's family out of Rome and how he doesn't agree to do it, but relents! (He'd had 2 of his friends killed by this commander.)

    Great WWII True Story, Gregory Peck is Outstanding

    Set in beautiful Rome, Mr. Peck is engaging as a high ranking official at the Vatican. Christopher Plummer is the head of the Gestapo in Rome. Amazing story on how thousands of allied prisoners were hidden and protected under the nose of the Nazis. Highly recommended.

    One of the best movies we have watched. You don’t get any better acting than Gregory Peck and Christopher Plummer. Especially when it was connected to a true story. The chances taken to save Jewish lives from the Germans were heart stopping. Recommend repeat watching!

    Inspiring and heartfelt!

    The movie portrays a strong spiritual figure whose main concern is for the lives of his fellow human beings. He is as sharp as the German official who's after him, but surpasses his snares at every turn!! Gregory Peck does an exceptional performance as a priest who won't stand by and do nothing against the horror of Hitler and his minions. It's worth the time to view this movie.
