    Works great with new Surface Pro

    I prefer this type of dock to the newer brick. It fits the new 2017 Surface Pro just fine with the keyboard attached.

    SP3 docking station

    Pros: - SP4 docking station doesn't work for me and my SP3 so this is the only option. - Allows you to easily dock and undock to use SP3 at a work station with external monitor. Cons: - Expensive! These were $150 new and now are selling for more than that used. From what I can tell this is because Microsoft is no longer selling them new and the issues people are having using the SP3 with the SP4 docking stations which is suppose to be compatible. - Difficult to setup dual monitors. SP3 dock allows 1 mini display output jack and the 2nd monitor has to be plugged into the SP3 itself. The configuration of the 2 monitors is tricky but works once setup correctly. - Poor design causes issue if docked with the keyboard closed. The keyboard gets caught when connecting to the docking station ...

    Docking Station NOT working yet

    seems to not be connecting to my Surface. Connected the first few days and all was fine. Then, it seems to have stopped connecting. So, it is worthless so far. I will keep trying to troubleshoot it and maybe take it to my local Microsoft store for their input. But, so far, isn't working and it's just either costing my time trying to make it work, or it's just sitting their doing nothing. Very disappointed. I have a dock at my office that works perfectly, so I hope that this issue gets resolved and then I can 5 star it.

    Have to remove carrying case before ou can dock the surface.

    The dock works as described but I use my computer both in the field and at a desk so when I come back to the office, i have to remove my case to insert itin the dock. I wish I could keep it in the case and still dock it to the power upply / usb ports / auxillary monitor more easily.

    Surface Pro Dock: convenient, solid, and well engineered.

    This dock allows the user to connect a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 (other generations too but I do not know which ones) to charging power, an external monitor, external speakers, and 5 USB ports and does this quickly and easily while holding the computer at a comfortable viewing angle. When docked, the Surface Pro is held securely and does not place any strain on the docking connector.
