Arrived on time. Well packaged. Flows well, and is well behaved. It may be reminiscent of Parker Penman Sapphire, but a comparison shows the Scribe is a somewhat lighter blue. For me it is not an ink I would use for professional documents as it hints at a slightly childish blue. So, 'reminiscent' maybe, but not a modern day reproduction. I suggest considering it independently of the Penman Sapphire and as an ink in its own right. The search for a Penman replacement continues!

Hello,Thank you for your feedback. There are many articles comparing Scribe ink with the original Penman ink though I am unable to include an article link in this reply, eBay won't allow redirection in the form of links. If you are comparing against an ink from the 90's then there will certainly be an evaporation issue especially from plastic refills. Dr D.S. is the original formulator & Scribe is also made in the same original facility, this ink should be as close as it can possibly be to PM

I have been using fountain pens since my senior year in high school (1970). My first two pens - still have 'em - were Parkers. The minute I opened the bottle and created a swatch on my ink testing book, it brought me right back to those early Parker days. So happy I found this. Thanks, Dr. Davies-Smith.

This is the best ink from a true innovator in ink. Great value for the money. It’s an elegant ink well packaged and by far my favorite other than the OG Sapphire. Thank you!
