    Brilliant.

    Was looking for a pointing hawk. Oddly they seem few and far between. Found this and it seemed expensive, but not dramatically more than a ‘regular’ hawk so went for one anyway. Now I’m absolutely NOT a pro bricklayer. But I have to lay bricks for a living building patios, garden walls and wood fired ovens. Up til now I’d done most of my pointing with one of those mortar guns. Quick but messy, blocks all the time and because it needs to go on so wet to pass through the gun, a long time waiting to tool. Sometimes not even the same day in cooler weather. (And I look like a rank amateur using one) This pointsman hawk was a revelation. Really shouldn’t make much difference to say using a trowel, but somehow it does. Angle of the handle is perfect, size is bang on for my needs and it’s ...

    Handy bit of kit.

    I brought the smallest of these for pointing in a fireplace where space us confined. So far it has proved to be enormously useful and really quite easy on the wrist. I had used a small plasterers hawk before and this a major improvement. I may well end up with a longer one for more open pointing jobs where I don't want to be reloading so much but time will tell. I may find the small one perfect for keeping the strain down.

    Pointsman Hawk

    The best ideas are the simplest ones this works well I bought the 235mm and have just purchased the 300mm. I have done a lot of brick pointing over the years and this hawk works very well leaving a nice clean finish!! I am on a 80m2 job at the moment and output has improved daily, quality product would highly recommend 👌

    Great for brickwork.

    Look the only reason I didn’t rate this 5 stars is because it’s too small. I should have got the 450mm one. I watched a video of Mark the repointing specialist and decided to buy one. Though it’s recommended you have it so the lip is facing at the bricks but personally that doesn’t work too good. No problem though just spin it round job done. I’ll be buying a 450mm 100% and my labourer can use this the messy git. Cheers

    Great tool to put mortar in

    Bought this due to watching many YouTube videos of how to re-mortar, absolutely right to buy it, it speeds up the process and means no mortar on the bricks. I bought the smaller one and this helps to keep it level whilst pushing the mortar into the gap that was ground out.
