Windows 10 not supported
This product was very promising, but the support for the USB interface was dropped sometime before Windows 10 came out. WizCom support could care less when I called to purchase an USB interface that would work with Windows 10. So I have a "brick" that scans and stores the file internally, but will not communicate with the outside world. I also tried connecting an up to date, non WizCom USB to serial adapter without success. Its a shame - it would have been a great device if it worked on Windows 10. Instead, I purchased an IRISPen 7 Executive and it does the job well enough (if you guide it with a ruler on a page). scans well/adapter issues
use it for law school text. scans text well, but: uses a 9 serial pin connection to your computer. my computer doesn't have one. i had to purchase an adapter and a "drive" to make it work on my computer with a USB port. haven't received adapter yet, don't know if I will be able to transfer info to my computer like i need to.

This pen is so COOL. Just scan a line or 10 and it's recorded. Just got it a couple hours ago so haven't had too much experience with it. But it's just so easy to use, scan and go. My daughter is going to college this fall and thought it may be a good tool for her to take notes.
