Gamers begin as a young vet at a relatively small hospital, but by successfully treating a small number of animals players can expand the business and learn to treat many different wild creatures. Animal care comprises satiating hunger, requiring the purchase of feed; maintaining good hygiene, involving the cleaning of pens; showing affection, which depends on petting; and playing, which involves exercise and toys. Players must also ensure that the vet is healthy, reading books to gain knowledge and sleeping to remain focused. Users also have to maintain the financial books, hire important staffers, and expand the size and scope of the hospital.

Not A Good Game
My daughter wanted a Nintendo DS for X-mas with the animal vet game, but we couldn't get her one right now, so I thought the next best thing would be to find a game like it that she could play on the computer. When she opened it, she was very excited and we got it all set up to play, but she was bored by the game. It isn't very engaging and sometimes you are just wondering around not knowing what you are supposed to do. Also, when you make her do things, sometimes it looks really cheesey. Like, we made her pet an animal, but she was just petting the air beside it...and we made her get herself a snack and she makes a motion like she's opening the frig, but the door doesn't open. It's not a good game and my child was only impressed until she started to play. Very disappointing and I ... This game constantly locks up and the only way out is to use the task manager to close it which means wherever you are in the game is lost. So you end up back to whatever point you last saved the game. You also have to keep the CD in the CD drive and I do not have to do that for other games I have. And, it is not a very interesting game. Everything appears to happen very slowly. And the assistant in the game is a royal pain. He is mostly unhelpful. I have played other time mamagement games that are much more fun. This might be interesting for a 6 year old but I doubt it. Nothing spectacular, but entertaining
This game is a lot like The Sims. The vet character has a house, refrigerator, bed, etc. and has to eat and sleep. She makes money by treating animals that customers bring in. The veterinary/animal care aspect of the game isn't as emphasized or fun as I would have thought. This game is designed to appeal to girls and my 7-year-old daughter is enjoying it. It still can't compete with Zoo Tycoon 2 for her attention, though.This game is a lot like The Sims. The vet character has a house, refrigerator, bed, etc. and has to eat and sleep.
