If you are petite and a little overweight, (or not), I think you will be happy with the fit. I was actually looking for this style with a separate belt, but at least this jacket has an adjustable drawstring waist so you get a little shape, and the illusion of a waist, so I still like it. The fabric is thinner than I expected, but it's okay. Nice lightweight denim jacket, especially when shaped like me!
