    '06 Jeep Liberty Pops and Binds on Pass Side

    Had lower ball joints and upper control arms degrade such that the suspension on both sides would audibly pop over bumps and potholes, as well as when accelerating from a dead stop and during hard braking. Pass side lower ball joint eventually failed dislodging the knee assembly and half-shaft. Replaced both lower ball joints and upper control arms; overall 75% of popping disappeared, while noticably diminished very repeatable popping persisted on the pass side. Shop that replaced suspension components missed what second shop caught; failed pass side motor mount. No visible defects, but when removed the inner contents were loose and rattled. Once the mount was replaced, all was smooth, quiet and pleasing. Eager to see how all performs 60k miles from now.
