Lovely reminder of how Sutton was in my mothers younger days . 1970s planning and architecture has a lot to answer for and so does the power of the car that has spoilt so many English towns. As a trained landscape architect we must learn from The Garden City Movement and not give in to big business who has no appreciation of aesthetics and local identity.
