Cured my mowers ignition timing problems.
A simple repair with only a few handtools. My original OEM flywheel had cast starter teeth, they broke out, so I had to replace. I bought an Amazon replacement, (not OEM) and after just one season of use, the magnets inside were all busted up. I was also having ignition timing issues, most likely due to the magnets and the worn woodruf key. My 26hp kohler engine was out of time causing ignition problems resulting in low power, backfiring on shutdown and a glowing red muffler. I replaced the flywheer AND the woodruf key and probems gone. Very important to make sure the woodruf key is perfect condition, only a few .000" of wear will causing timing issues. Anyway, these Kohler OEM parts did the trick and is only about a 1hr. repair at home. Woodruf key and flywheel this time were BOTH Kohler ... A simple repair with only a few handtools.
