Jude Watson begins her second series after completing, "The Young Apprentice", story arc that ran 18 installments plus two special editions. This has to make her the most prolific contributor to the Star Wars Saga. The new, "Jedi Quest" series begins with, "The Way Of The Apprentice", and places Obi-Wan in the role once held by the late Qui-Gon, and young Anakin is the learner this time around. Anakin is placed in the position of being the most gifted apprentice any Jedi can ever recall. He cannot be separated from his peers, and so must deal with other apprentices as they all train while his gifts outstrip them all. The one aspect he lacks is patience and his tendency to interpret orders instead of following them also causes him trouble. Four Jedi teams are sent to solve what is ... His is particularly frustrated as one other learner is Ferus, an apprentice that is well liked, skilled, and one who follows every rule, and always provides the masters with the correct answers and not complaints. What follows is Anakin almost always butting heads with Ferus, and by story's end the two are far from allies even as they effect a very successful end to a mission. Anakin is independent, and the Jedi are trained to play as a team. A good start to a new series!
