Just look at nearly every place of business that sells fish. If they keep their water systems segregated, they will be using these. One can easily run 3 units from one air supply. If you have and extra-large air supply, you could run significantly more. No moving parts. Nothing to break. I use the diffuser stones that fit inside the unit and the bubbles are tiny and really look nice as well as help oxygenate the water better.Just look at nearly every place of business that sells fish. A sponge is a sponge but this was made for performance. I love the fact that there is a bit of distance between the sponge and the base. Also, the middle of the sponge and is empty for placing an air stone. It’s pretty big in my ten gallon but I don’t mind. Right now my beneficial bacteria is more important than aesthetics.
