    GREAT MOVIE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

    Loved it, have seen it before but wanted to keep in my collection. Heart warming story of Dolly Parton growning up poor with many brothers and sisters, like a lot of us did. God fearing, happy, greatful for what we had. Very refreshing from today's whinning, crying babies who grew up with a lot more, have the world at their feet and still think the world owes them a living.

    Great movie

    This is a wonderful heart warming story. The little girl who plays the young Dolly is amazing. She is such a good actress. My mother used to make a lot of our clothes, we weren't as poor as the family in the movie but we weren't rich either. It shows a family that gets by on love and the mother's strong faith.

    Bring a tissue box.

    Wonderful story of Dolly's family struggles. I admit I cried at times. Her mom a faithful good hearted mother, and her dad a hard working father trying to provide for his family. At the heart of it all was a family that did not have much of material possessions, but they had an enormous amount of love.

    Great family movie

    This movie is nostalgic. No cell phones, no computers, no iPad or iPods, no profanity, just great family conversations and family really enjoying one another. Wished we could go back to those good ole days. Everyone should have this one in their movie collection, you will feel so good after watching this one.

    Great child actor lead character makes family film great.

    Dolly brings back the good feelings of a family show. Somewhat like The Waltons, or maybe the Waltons was based on Dolly's life. We enjoyed it very much and wish they would continue the series. The little girl who plays Dolly is a favorite of ours, having watched her on the Young and the Restless for years.
