The unit does work but this unit will NOT cool a small hot room in the Summer.. The output cooling ability is very low, perhaps closer to 1500-2000 btu which will not cool a 100 square foot room or 10x10 foot room at all... You would be better putting a fan in the window...

Definitely does not have a "High energy Rare Earth Compressor" as stated, just uses cheap common induction motor compressor like found in a common small refrigerator. Very heavy for its size.
