Solid, sturdy build with very good sound

After a very brief break-in period, these have become very solid everyday work headphones. The fit of the over-the-ear cups guarantees zero bleed - your cubicle mate will not hear your music - and they're comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time. The sound quality is good. Deep, clear bass - not "street" bass levels - but deeper than most. The highs are clean but not pronounced. The midrange is pushed a bit to the background, especially in the vocal range. Since these are full-sized, power-eating cans, I run them through a small amp when I'm at my desk, and use the controls in the amp to boost the mids. Bottom line is that for the price currently offered ($32 shipped) you can't beat them.

Sound Is Awful & Not Comfortable To Wear

I currently own a pair of Polk Audio Ultrafocus 8000's and about 10 other pairs of headphones. The Ultrafocus headphones are awesome. They are very well balanced across the board. When I purchased the Heritage Buckle I was expecting them to sound almost as good, because the original MSRP was $199 compared to $349 for the Ultrafocus's. What a disaster. It is obvious that they were trying to appeal to a hip hop crowd when they manufactured these. In return, you get sloppy, overbearing, muffled bass, which unfortunately drowns out the mids & highs. It's a shame that Polk stooped to this level. I only paid $30 for them so no big deal, they're not worth returning. I just had high expectations that's all. Thanks you for reading.

  • Excellent headphone

This headphone is the most luxurious one I ever had especially for the price and in comparison with my favorite brand till now, Sennheiser. The sound quality is very good and the material used doesn't make it a lightweight, but it sits comfortably. I didn't used the mic option yet, but I expect it to work perfectly like the rest.

  • Polk Audio Buckle(black)

I have an Emerson Studio over the ear headphones that I bought at Dollar General last year for $10 that is far superior to these Polk headphones. This Polk Audio Buckle headphones are an overpriced joke. Too heavy, the connecting cable is too short, the Bass is muddy and the treble has no clarity and all-round sound lacks definition. It DOES come with an attractive wood-grained cardboard box. But the box can't give me the sound I crave and neither can these Polk Audio Buckle Headphones. Forty bucks down the audio rat-hole. I'll stick with my cheapo Emerson Studio headphones and give this Buckle to a hard of hearing relative.

  • Comfortable with great sound

The sound is good, and after my taste. Good deep notes, with the mid and high clearly coming trough. The fit is good. I have a large head, and these fit comfortably. I also own the smaller hinge, but prefer these at home / work. No folding, so they take up much space when not in use.
