    Good appearance

    Blade a little thin, can't vouch for quality of steel, but looks good. Can't say there is much quality in scabbard , but at sale price was very good value. Mostly for show

    Good and bad of a cheaper knife

    We all know that when we purchase an inexpensive knife we are taking a chance with our hard earned money. Today's sample is the Ridge Runner 13 inch stainless steel Bowie. The knife is a full tang with a SS bolster, with iron wood and ram horn grips. 6 brass pins hold the handles in place and there is a lanyard hole. The grip is good and fits my hand well.The tang is approximately 3/16s but the blade itself is thinned down quite a bit. It's made in China and with most newer Chinese knives it was probably cut on cnc machinery which is good because it makes for a semetrical , uniform blade. The seller indicated that it is AUS-6 steel but I can find no markings to verify anything other than stainless steel. As with all cheaper knives and this one is not an exception , the sheath is crap, ...

    Looks good, not a working tool

    It's a great looking knife but the thin blade and wobbly hardware make it useless for anything but your showcase or home/self defense. The stainless steel blade also makes it hard to put a real edge on it.
