Another Light Christmas Romp with the Higgins-Clarks
I have all the Christmas books that mother and daughter have written, and I always laugh at the quirky characters, the convoluted plot, and the holiday aura. We all enjoy characters we feel we know, and Regan, Jack, Nora, Luke, Alvirah and Willy generally top the list. But we have added a few "off-center" folk in this little town that I hope we hear from again. It's a light read, pure fun, and one of the best of the holiday offerings. Another awesome book by Mary Higgins Clark $ daughter!
I love books written by Mary Higgins Clark. Ever since I was 18 & read WHERE ARE THE CHILDREN?, I've been hooked. I really look forward to the release of her new titles & have become very found of her yearly Holiday novels co-authored with her daughter. I am a high school teacher, after seeing me reading this book during some down time, many of my students have told me they also read this book & thorough enjoyed it. Mary Higgins Clark books are entertaining . Her words draw you in from the very first page and excitingly carries your interest all the way to the conclusion. I appreciate the fact that she doesn't resort to foul language or explicit sexuality to gain readers, which is why I believe her books have such mass appeal. However, upon receipt, I found the book was stamped with "Discard" along the edges of the book in black ink. I was very disappointed that this stamping was not noted as being present as I would never have ordered this book to add to my collection.I collect hardback books by Mary Higgins Clark.
