After tragically becoming a widow, Margaret Delafield (Jatharine Hepburn) gets her life back on course, with comedic results in this family-oriented romp. Unfortunately Margaret's family don't approve of her decision to date her Jewish doctor, Marvin Elias (Harold Gould) after she recovers from an illness, and nor do his family! Prejudices fly thick and fast, and even the neighbors of the Delafield family can't help but turn their noses up at this new pairing. Plenty of laughs ensue in this made-for-TV movie from 1986.

Can only assume that it was an acceptable dvd. Given as a gift with no feedback. The movie, as shown on tv, was exceptional and my friend really was sorry to have missed the tv version. Hope this was a good gift for her.

Performance by Katherine Hepburn was outstanding! Subject is dear to the hearts of any of us "mature adults" who escaped the criticisms of our parents and now have to endure the critiques of our children and grandchildren. Well done..
