    Good for Office but little else

    Bought the CPU to test an old 990x mobo before purchasing an FX 8350. At £3.95 couldn't go wrong. To be honest, in terms of office productivity, this CPU is just fine. Runs Windows, Word, Excel etc. with no issues. But if gaming or using something like Adobe Premier then it doesn't cut the mustard.

    Cheap as chips

    Works very well indeed, My "broken!" GB AM3 motherboard booted up first time without a hitch, evidently the quad core I'd found had something up with it (AM3+) so one BIOS update later and all is well but have left the new chip in for the time being. Now just need to install Ubuntu 15.05 on it, and do some "minor" repairs to the parallel port in the form of an adaptor, if anyone has a spare broken RS485M-M with good BIOS chip please page me on Twitter "TooManySecrets" :-)

    Budget Upgrade

    Inexpensive upgrade from a single core Sempron processor on a budget Asrock motherboard. The CPU arrived with a small sachet of paste, so the swap-out took mere minutes. Because of the Athlon's low power requirements I was able to re-use the Sempron's cooler. Many hours of use since with no problems. Big improvement in every department. Very pleased with the product and service.
