  • if you are a beatles fant this is worth getting

john lennon and beatles manager brian epstein took a trip together to barcelona in 1963. in this elegant haunting movie, the young director christopher munch imagines what transpired between the brilliant working class lennon (ian hart) and the wealthy cultured homosexual epstein (david angus) who longed for him. the movie is only an hour long and was shot in black and white on a shoe string budget in a mere eight days, yet it has a gemlike sophistication, delicacy and intelligence almost never seen in american independent movies. this is an interesting movie to watch but blew my mind.
