I tried to save money, I ended up doubling my cost.
I think they did a good job in replacing the LCD screen itself - perhaps. They indicated that they had tested its functionality before making the repair. Prior to sending the Tridata to Seawire the depth was working - but it did not work after it was repaired. The speed also did not work. I hired someone to come in and test it and it was determined that the transducers and wiring were fine but the display was not functional. So we put a new display in and it works great. So, this was a waste of money. The person who came on the boat and tested the repaired Tridata stated that bench testing these displays are often unable to really determine whether the display actually works. That the display might have been worn out - doesn't surprise me - given that it was installed in ... I think they did a good job in replacing the LCD screen itself - perhaps.
