I bought this to clear a battery reverse polarity issue, I made sure before purchasing that my Yam was a four pin and it worked straight away with no problems. It's smaller than expected, I have other code readers and this was cheap enough not to risk using cable adaptors. It feels robust and it does not take up much room in my tool box, the functions are basic but so is my Yamaha, I am very happy with this product.
