This piece of junk didn't work. The card itself is detected but whatever SATA disk is connected to it is not detected. I inspected closely and I discovered why it doesn't work: it's missing one SMD resistor of 12.1K ohms and a SMD capacitor of unknown capacitance. On close inspection, you can see where the broken contact points of those parts were once soldered on. I found schematics for the ASM1061 chip and the missing parts are what detect SATA drives. They sold me junk & stole $21.17 for it.
