The author has run out of ideas. His first books were great. Then he made a bunch of comic books with little plot, few pages and no story to make quick bucks. Now he has tried to do Peter Grant in Germany and there's very little to the story. He needs to invest his money, retire and take a couple of years to see if he still can put together books like the first ones rather than just outlines that are not flushed in. He could also do like Cussler has, get someone else to help him write full, exciting novels. Also the idea that every character in the book must be a different sex, sexual persuasion, nationality, or culture means that eventually he'll be limited to transgender aliens with split ends which may burn a few pages of description but won't make up for plot and character development. At least he hasn't gone political.
