Useless!!!
I bought this item to go on a trip outside the country and while I was gone I couldn't even use the converter once!!!!! Since every time I plugged it in to use my hair straightener, it started make noises and the straightener got very hot in a seconds, so it wasn't safe to use the converter!!!! Even though it's supposed to work for up to 1600 watts it wasn't even safe for 70 watts!!!!! It was totally useless!!!!I bought this item to go on a trip outside the country and while I was gone I couldn't even use the converter once!!!!! Good product that does what it suppose to do, covert from 220V to 110V product. The only bad thing is that they say you can not use it over 15-20 minutes. But if need to use it to short time device each time then it is great.

It doesn't look like down converting at all.
Used in French Polynesia with 220v outlet. The PC vibrate which I assume over voltaged. All other chargers had a heat while charging. I don't think it is actually down coverting the voltage.
