    ARS HS-KR1000 review

    Excellent for topiary pruning. Razor sharp. Fine blades allow precise shaping and easily penetrate plant canopy to trim internal growth. Not recommended to be used on dead wood or green wood in excess of 2mm diameter or damage to sharpness may be the result. Replacement blades easily available. Recommend a clean and light oil after each use. ARS brand is reliable and high quality.

    High quality

    Very high quality shears made in Japan. Super sharp. These are comparable to buying a fine quality knife. Blades can be sharpened but even better can be replaced for around $35.00. One important thing to know about these is that they are more of a topiary shear meant to be used to finely trim and/or shape your shrubs. I wouldn't use these to go whacking at thicker branches. You'll ruin the blades. They are on the expensive side but compared to the average hedge trimmers like Fiskars and others you'll find at the local hardware store, these are effortless and cut like a hot knife through butter.
