    It's working but I'm worried!

    I purchased this product because a previously owned the same model and loved it! So, I was very familiar with this product! However, this time it took 2 hours to set up and figure out the problem. It kept saying there was a paper jam (there wasn't)! We went through several scenarios to fix the problem. I finally noticed that the lead lines were pinched and jamming. It was not allowing the slide to fully engage the travel path! We had to all but completely tear this thing apart to fix it! It's working now but I'm worried that it will quit working shortly because of the hang up problems!? Maybe some kind of new harnessing would be in order? I had the exact same printer for 6 years so I purchased the same model, however, I won't purchase the same product again!

    Great Printer - Not So Great Software

    THE HARDWARE The HP Officejet Pro 8000 is well worthy of the high ranking given it by Consumer Reports. Is it quiet and fast with beautifully sharp output, both text and images. Physically the hardware appears to be high quality, is very well designed and easy to use. Paper loading and handling is great too. Setup, especially the way the printer is packed and labeled, is very well thought out. The setup sheet leaves a little to be desired in that several pictures are ambiguous and raise questions. Just one or two additional words here and there would have fixed that. THE PIGWARE The efficiency of the software falls far short of the quality of the printer. I replaced a Canon Pixma IP4500 that failed physically. It had a load of installed software but there was NEVER any obvious additional ...

    Excellent fast printer but has it's flaws

    This is a great printer... Very good quality print, on the fast mode (draft mode) it will print about 20/30 pages per minute and and with a nice quality... But the printer is very unreliable when picking up papers other than standard (IE.: carton or photo paper), it will jam very easily and if not break the mechanism, many times it will take about 5 minutes or more to the printer come back again... So use this printer only for standard paper (good quality paper...) or to print on different papers feed each page individually and you will give this printer a long life...

    Excellent Document printer: yet???????

    Pros: Excellent document printer. Very Very fast, the mid 30s is accurate. There's no lag time after about 30 or 40 printed pages. This printer prints out 200 pages very fast with no problem at all. Wireless is easy to hook up. They've upgraded there software so its not so buggy. Pretty easy for anybody to connect wirelessly It looks real nice in your office. Very shiny and well put together. The cartridges are in a convenient place. Just pop open the side door and the cartridges pop in and out. You can buy huge black ink cartridges that last a long time in comparison to other printers. Cons: As always its hard to find generic ink for hp at a very cheap rate. You usually have to go with hp or pay a fairly high price for the generic ink. Many models carry generic ink quite ...
