Liqui Moly goodness, a top quality German engineered product
I remember this product from the days of my grandfather and uncle using it in Germany when I would visit them from Canada. Time flies, I now only use Liqui moly 5w30 Top Tec 4200 and the Special Tec LL 5W30 which this review is about in my 2015 tuned WRX. I decided to spend a tad less than what the Top Tec 4200 costs to test this oil out. In the past I had tried Castrol, Quaker State, Penzzoil PUP and Mobil and of all those my tips on my exhaust would get sooty black, I then switched to Liqui and have noticed a much milder or lower sooty residue. Prior to the switch at 12K now having near 40K on the vehicle and doing OIC at 3500 I flushed the engine with Liqui Moly engine flush. To date no issues at all which is what I expected as I change quite frequently but any DIT motor is hard on oil ... Excellent German made oil
I’ve used this brand before and it worked like a charm. Car responded well to this oil so I’m going to keep using it, esp when people say the Castrol recommended by bmw is too thin. Not a mechanic but I do know that when something is made in Germany with bmw specification, it’s good stuff
