I am a fan of Mega Man, but this game takes the cake. Mega Man makes his way to Sega Game Gear in a not so good way. The game reminds you of Mega Man on the NES, but with flaws. At times, it's hard to see what lies ahead due to the small screen size(this is the worst on Star Man's stage). This causes major damage and frustration during gameplay. The music tires to sound like the NES, but doesn't quite make it. The color is OK too. Mega Man has two modes of play(Normal and Difficult). I find that to be a bunch of hecky peck because the game is difficult regardless which mode you play. I haven't managed to beat a boss yet. You're lucky if you make it to the boss. Your enemies are Stone Man, Star Man, Napalm Man, Bright Man, Wave Man, Toad Man, and Dr. Wily. You can start any level you wish; however, you can't play Wave Man and Toad Man's levels until you defeat the first four bosses. I bought this game because I am a serious video game collector and I thought it would be worth adding to my collection. Lucky for me mine came in a Game Gear lot of games I bought off here in 2005. The game shows up on here every now and then. There's one on auction boxed complete for $24.99 right now. I have seen it gor for $40+ dollars(cartridge w/ manual and boxed complete). If you're a serious video game collector or up for a very challenging game, this is the game for you. Enjoy.Read full review
While the game is rare (thus expensive), if you're a Mega Man fan you'll love this adventure on the Game Gear! I always wanted it when I was a kid but it was never available in Canada, but I snagged this up recently and I loved every second of it.

I was a big fan of the game boy's "Mega Man," so when I finally got the only mega man game ever made for the game gear, I expected something awesome. It was good, but not awesome. The sound was decent, but it didn't have the addicting, fun sounds that I remember from the game boy. For example, the jumping sound in the game boy is a cute, digital beep, but in the game gear, it's just a jump. And the shots sound like shots, but not energy shots. But still, the gameplay was excellent, and though I've read of people complaining of it's difficulty, I managed to beat the first 4 bosses within 2 hours. (though I hear there's 3 more after that). Password feature is very handy, since I would hate to beat it in one sitting. However, it's interesting to note that in the Game Gear version, megaman starts out with an extra power, one which calls his dog to his side. Megaman can then jump on him for a boosting jump before the dog disappears. Very cool. If you are thinking about buying this game, I would recommend that you do it. If you really like Megaman, or if you just collect.Read full review
This obscure gem is not a capcom game. But it's still awesome and highly collectible. Get one and enjoy.
