    Tested up to 5 miles and pretty clear. Lots of channels and features. Able to tune into the weather channel ok. Scanner works but cannot pick up our local police/fire services.

    Good product, not for younger kids.

    Bought for my son's 5th Birthday. It say's "kids" but there's no way ge can push the button to transmit. Thought we could do the VOX, so he wouldnt need to hold in the button, but the ear piece is too big. I'm sure they'll be good walkie talkies when he's old enough, or I might look for a kid friendly vox ear piece. I bought them cause I didnt want a toy, and wanted something he could use for years.

    these are a very good product and are easy to handle. At first I thought I mau have to return one, but I found the battery vinyl covering was insulating the bottom of the batteries in only one of the two. Arrived sooner than rxpected!
