    I purchased this book because I am reviewing math I completed 20 years ago in preparation for a Masters Degree in Computer Science. I had originally purchased the current version of this textbook at a local used textbook store but after comments made by another bookseller about the minor differences between this version and the current version I returned it and purchased this copy. I confrimed this to be true. I had paid over $200 for the textbook, study guide and solutions manual used. Going with the earlier edition, I was able to purchase all three for less than $35. For my purposes, this was satisfactory. I plan on taking the new CLEP Precalculus exam to verify my currency with the material. If I were in a regular college class, I would go with the current version as there is ...

    I took this course my senior year in high school. After which I took a semester off before I started college. I bought the book to refresh myself with trig because the Calc book I have does not really touch on that subject. Love this book because it gives step by step examples in each of the examples and the odd answers are in the back.
