    Good CPU - just make sure the mainboard hasn't failed - especially HP.

    The CPU is excellent in its use in an HP laptop, Fit and works quite well. The unit was ordered to replace one after the system error codes identified a failed CPU. Unfortunately, HP's BIOS error codes that indicate CPU failure neglect to show that the mainboard failed and took the CPU down with it. Price was reasonable for the CPU, but the mainboard was the expensive part.

    Pleasantly Surpised

    I was not expecting much from an older low end CPU but this chip along with an SSD made a super slow laptop totally usable for everyday tasks.
