The original Japanese title of this game is "Sword Maniac", and it stands as one of my absolute favorite games on the SNES/Super Famicom. Two legendary video game composers got their start with game, going on to work on classics such as "Tactics Ogre", "Odin Sphere", and "Final Fantasy XII." It was challenging, but not too brutal, and the AI was fairly intelligent. Activision saw fit to take this great game, change the entire plot, give it an idiotic title that followed the 90's pattern of putting "X" in front of everything, and replace it's music with digitized version of a quickly forgotten techno group called Psychosonik. They also made the AI dumb as a post, and made the overall experience simplistic and bland. That's not to say this game is horrible. After all, the shell of the excellent title is still there, and for a few bucks, you could do a lot worse to add to your library. But what Activision did is just sad. What was a solid 8-8.25 game has been knocked down to definite 6 material. Guess their lame practices have always been around, eh...?Read full review

This just happens to be one of the first super nintendo games i owned, getting it for my 7th birthday. I sold this game when money got tight, just rebought it for old times sake. Its a decent side-scrolling game, but nothing too special. If you can pick it up for a few bucks, i would recommend it, but dont go overboard with the price. I give it a 6 out of 10.
Very good and challenging game we like it !:) thanks for shipping it fast ! :) Andrea
