    Best thing ever ! :-)

    I used to use one of these back in the 80's when I was a greenhouse manager when checking for insects ... then , since they are so affordable and cool, I was giving them as gifts to my friends and their kids, as well ... now I work with kids and they are always bringing me 'something' to look at under it .. besides bugs and leaves and flowers, we look at the glitter on their shirts, shoe laces, the weave of their clothes' materials, the color pixels in magazines, each other's hair , etc etc etc .. One of my all-time favorite 'must-haves' ... :-)

    Useful, not good quality

    The light was not aimed at the field of focus, was off to one side. I was able to bend the light holder to get it part way in line, but it's not perfect. I had the same product almost thirty years ago at which time it also had a nine power magnifying lens that pulled out of the back. That was a nice feature. But it is inexpensive, so I got what I paid for.

    great product

    Excellent for studying mineral/precious metal/gem samples at a perfect magnification for most field applications. Replacing the bulb with a higher power halogen is also recommended.. Lasts for year. I have taken it to mine projects all over the world

    30x illuminated pocket microscope

    Well worth the modest price. In the pest control industry in South West Fl. I use these for pest identification on a daily basis and usually lose them on a job site before they fail. Have had several for a few years of heavy use with no problems. These units are identical to some that I have paid a lot more for. Well worth the price.
