I was a little apprehensive about forking out full price for this game. The premise sounded good, the graphics looked good, but the battle system seemed to much for me.
I nabbed on on ebay for $25 bucks, and honestly I regret not grabbing it sooner.
Good, is well the story is compelling, the characters are interesting, as are the creatures. 30+ hours in and I'm still as lost as Aloy, but want to learn more.
I like how you can progress, but the game progresses with you. When you finally get powerful enough to take out your current baddies like a BAMF, well, here comes new baddies to keep you on your toes.
The game also does not force tutorials down your throat. New weapon? Well the tutorial is a quest for xp.
Bad, well there's a LOT of traveling through wilderness to get to main quests. I think it could have done with more filler quests inbetween. Thank god for the quick travel option, you'll be doing a lot of backtracking.
