    Survivorman Season One

    Les Stroud very successfully manages to take the viewer on a fantasy camp type survival adventure. Without a camera crew, forced to document his own seven day ordeal, we share the sense of hardship he experiences and feel relieved when he succeeds in finding relief in either food and/or water. There is a genuineness about his varied challenges that compel the viewer to imagine themselves going along for the ride; especially when he has to go for several days without eating. The expression of pure satisfaction after trapping a rabbit or other meat source, and having cooked over open flame is most apparent. For anyone trapped into the routine of suburbia, Survivorman is the next best thing to a vacation.

    Survivorman Season 1

    Join survivorman across the country in nine various locations as he strives to survive. On the way of his journey he'll enlighten you to the knowledge given to him on the best ways to survive out in the wild, should you end up stranded. The basis of survivorman is quite simple, for you new comers. He's dropped off in remote locations for one week to survive alone. At times it feels like it's more of a camping show than a survival show, but Stroud, easily, is a likeable character, and you begin to cheer him on as he tries to find water and food. I love this show, personally. If you enjoy outdoor shows then you probably will too. I'd highly recommend it.

    Surviving solo

    Bungling around some wilderness with Les Stroud -- what could go wrong! Not much plot, just different scenery in each episode. Happily, Les gets through and has it all on film.
