    My first step in cutting cable TV

    The Roku Streaming Media Player was somewhat difficult to set up. The remote would not pair. I spent hours trying to pair the remote with the player. The company that I purchased the player from was nice enough to send me a new remote. Finally I configured the player using a wired Ethernet connection to my router. After my router recognized the player the remote did pair. So I am very satisfied with the player, but it took many hours to set up.

    Beware of premium charges to your account during setup.

    Roku has become very invasive in recent years. It is not like the early days of Roku. Roku 3 requires a credit card to be entered before setup can even be completed. Not good. I only needed the device for the Slingplayer App that is free. I spent a ton of time disabling all the BS Roku premium garbage that might try to charge my credit card. Eventually, after setup, I deleted all credit card data from my Roku account. I do not like Roku as it exists today. Beware of the setup process and make sure you do not sign up and pay for premium services you did not intend to buy! At the least please PIN protect adding premium services!

    Litterly works like new.

    This roku works as it should and sets up in several minutes. The remote works great. The only fly in the ointment is the fact it doesn't have voice control. This is a excellent product.

    ROKU 3 IS STILL A WINNER !

    The Roku 3 still works well even though it is far from the latest Roku product or the fastest. But, it is affordable and offers in an easy-to-use package a very useful device that is easy to work with! I'm very happy with this purchase.
