The First Churchills
This is not about Winston Churchill but his ancestors. Fine performances by John Neiville and Susan Hampshire. A Classic Mini Series and worth seeing. This Period Drama is set at the time of King Charles II and goes through to Queen Anne Stuart. It is fairly accurate and entertaining. I only wish it would have been longer and had more episodes. The ending was not what I expected. Still a very funny and informative drama. My favorite part was the underlying story of the Duke of Monmouth. I liked the part of "He took her with his spurs on." which is a key point that Winston Churchill makes about his fore father and his fore grandmother. They were so in Love and Fidel that he waited throughout the War Campaign and Battles, so that he could come back and ravage his wife in a Charming Impetuous...Hello..I'm Back...let's have Sex....LOL.
