I got this to monitor my solar system after having it for a few years without any monitoring. I was paranoid that I wouldn't even know if one panel was not working. Is is very easy, just plug it in a it works. You need to register with the enphase enlighten web site but after that it just works. It worked fine over my power lines even though I plugged it in far from my solar panel connections. it quickly found all my panels and reported on them. Unusable, this device can not be used anywhere except the location where it was originally installed. I spent 2 hours on the phone with the manufacturer trying to reconfigure it to work at my home, but it is incapable of being reconfigured. This Enphase Envoy is one of the best communications devices on the market. It is the easiest to install and the easiest to read / report. There are several other brands similar to this yet Enphase Envoy is by far the best. Additionally, the web page is the simplest one to understand the reporting to your computer.
