    Small and very effecient

    I have used this product for years, Since Sunbeam no longer makes them, I was really happy to find another one on Ebay after my old one broke. after many years of use. . Its small, efficient and uses much less electricity than a microwave just to heat up one cup of water for coffee or tea.

    Great idea, broke easily.

    Have been wanting one for a while because of rapid single-serve water heating ability. Water dispenser tab/lever broke with first use. Product is no longer supported by Sunbeam, repair/replacement not available. Not sure if just this particular item, or this is a larger problem - my parents had one that worked well for a long time.

    Wonderful Product

    It doesn't "brew" anything. It boils water for use in tea, coffee, ramen noodles, soups, etc... It boils the water just as quickly, if not quicker, than a microwave using much, much less electricity. (Not to mention the health hazards of microwaves.)

    A terrific little appliance which is no longer being made - so it was wonderful to be able to find a used one that works just like new! The Hot Shot heats water - that's all it does - but it does it FAST and so conveniently! No home should be without one!

    The reliable Hot Shot

    I had a Hot Shot for over 25 years and it was the most reliable and useful appliance in my kitchen. When it died after so many years, I sought a replacement on eBay and found a gently-used Hot Shot of the same model. I am very pleased with it and maybe it will last 25 years too!
