What a great kit! The entire kit has a very quality feel. From the instructions to the model itself it’s well worth the cost. If you’re a Mopar fan or early Super Stock and AFX fan this kit is for you! Every thing is molded very clean with very little flash. The decals are really nice and easy to work with. Good & Bad
On the plus side. It finally has a column shift instead of a console shift. On the negative side? They still haven't put the correct dash in the kit. Same old stock '65 Satellite dash which didn't come in these cars. They had a '65 Belvedere I dash which looks like a '64 Belvedere or '64 Savoy dash which has no dash trim. Their S/S car kits have the same problem. The factory race cars didn't come with a radio (came with radio delete plate), nor did they have a 'heater' in the car which meant it had a heater delete bezel. The A/FX cars had a fiberglass dash with no radio, no heater bezel, and no glove box. One of these days I hope they surprise me, and finally do the kit right. For the record. When these A/FX cars left Chrysler. They came stock with an 8 3/4 rear end. The Dana rear end was added later on after the fact in the Golden Commandos car. So I have to purchase a S/S kit ($$$) just to get the correct rear end to build it stock. One expensive build to have it right.
