The Tascam CC-222MKIII analog multi-track recorder is so versatile that it has been used by everyone from professional musicians to worship leaders who want to capture live music or record multiple tracks. This MTR allows for recording to CD-R or cassette and can even record from a turntable thanks to an RIAA phono input. The unit is designed for rack mounting as well, so it can be easily incorporated into your existing sound setup. Other features in this unit include playback for MP3-formatted files and a time track increment to add separate tracks to a CD. Unfortunately, the main purpose of this machine is to dub from audio cassette to CDR/CDRW discs. The CD part of the unit kept issuing error messages when using different brands of discs.
