Start your engines for an exciting run on the racetrack in Cars from Pixar. Join Lightning McQueen on your Nintendo Wii console as he travels around the track in this game. With your help, he has a chance to win the Piston Cup championship. The 2006 racing video game has an ESRB rating of E for everyone. The characters and plot of this game are based on the Pixar movie of the same name. Gamers are treated to a different story with familiar faces every time they turn on the console. This game offers a range of choices for gamers. It can handle up to 10 different characters from the "Cars” movie. With more than 50 races in an open environment, you have dozens of opportunities for excitement. Use the Wii remote to help you navigate the course and also to accelerate with specialized movements. There is variety built into the game since each available player moves differently on the course. Players can opt to race the open road, race down the stretch of the track, or play a series of mini-games. Even better, gamers can choose to race as the shiny, red racer, the Sheriff, or Mater, or seven other personalities from the original Cars movie. Cars for the Nintendo Wii opens in the familiar setting of Radiator Springs. However, much time has passed since the plot of the movie took place. After victory in the first "Cars” release, Lightning McQueen has returned to Radiator Springs. He's about to take part in a new circuit. The winner of the circuit will get the game's Piston Cup. McQueen is once again up against his rival Chick Hicks. Hicks is obnoxious, self-centered, and still thinks he's better than McQueen. With the help of his pals, McQueen trains hard and plans how to beat Hicks once and for all. All of the characters from the original Cars movie are back to help him train, keep in shape, and keep his morale up. He even has a bit of a love interest in Sally, a local Porsche. In addition to completing 50 races on the circuit, racers can also take part in mini-games and collecting items. If mini games are completed successfully, players are rewarded with items and prizes. What makes the Wii experience unique is that you race while using your motion-sensing controls. The Wii makes driving and steering feel very natural. The natural-feeling experience in this game is further enhanced if gamers use the steering wheel accessory options made for the Wii. When completing mini-games, use the Nintendo Wii remote as is to allow for control that doesn't require racing. Help Lightning McQueen to reach the finish line first in this Nintendo game, and quench his thirst for speed. Train with movie favorites like his best friend Mater the tow truck, Sarge the Jeep, crew chief Doc Hudson, and his main squeeze, Sally. If you're successful in taking the Piston Cup once again, you'll be greeted with a big Ka-Chow.
