Radio Flyer Tricycle #33
This is the 3rd tricycle that I have purchased. The trike is fairly good but, several flaws. The rear wheels, sometimes the spokes come loose, the seat is spot welded, I have had to drill out the welds and put in pan head screws. These are not abused by tug children that throw their toys, they are ridden and enjoyed but, just be watchful. I will continue to purchase for my great grand children, they ride well and the kids love them and I enjoy watching them. Bringing the past to life without sacrificing quality. The only tricycle is this class.
I have been around for a long time and one of the things I have noticed over the years is poor workmanship and cheap materials. Needless to say, I was overly impressed with the quality of this tricycle. It is almost a complete replica of the older versions. It is a little more lightweight but the construction is just as solid and another thing which was a fantastic idea is the limited turning radius of the front tire. I cannot tell you how many trike flops I have seen over the decades because of unlimited turning of the front wheel. I bought this for my grandson but I was a little premature because he can reach the pedals but his legs are too short to be able to push them.
