Cleaner seed than others
I recently purchased another brand in a larger size(30 lb.) bag and was somewhat disappointed with the amount of stems and chaff with the seed. The chaff collected in the feeders necessitating more cleaning. When that seed was gone, I purchased the Pennington seed. The Pennington seed was much cleaner and the birds like it. Great seed mix for the birds.
My birds love it, I whistle each time I fill the feeder, to let them know breakfast is ready, or lunch! I see cardinals, leaving some sunflower seeds on the ground, as they do not fly to the feeder; they are ground feeders. There is corn in the mix, and it attacks woodpeckers.
