    Holmes genuine OEM Total Air AER1 HEPA Filter HAPF30ATD is great for home use!

    Holmes has made a great AER1 Filter 2 Pack HAPF30ATD that does a great job in cleaning up the invisible particles that the human eye cannot see. It makes the air refreshing and clean. You keep the double-filter in the Holmes Air Purifier for up to four months before changing it again. The noise level is very low as it runs at normal speed cleaning up all the impurities in the room.

    Generic replacement filters for AER1 work well.

    Without scientific instruments I can't say how much technically better or worse these work than the OEM filters, but they do work. I know this because the few days I was without my purifier in near the bird cage my allergies were acting up. After putting in the new filters they went away, just like with the OEM filters. Additionally, the prefilter on these is easier to work with IMO. They may be 'home/garage made', but they work. With my particular purifier I was able to salvage the OEM frame and use them with this kit for an even better fit in the unit.

    I'm Impressed

    Have an older dog that smells. Usually if she sits by my chair in evening I light a candle to override the odor. Well I installed this new filter, turned on the purifier and immediately the odor was gone. She was laying in the center of the room 5 feet from it and I was 5 feet from the purifier. The air actually smelled clean for a change.

    A different style and approach but very effective

    A different style and approach but very effective and actually better filtration. Reusable frame and separate filtering elements make the product less wasteful, lower cost AND they actually filter better than the OEM filters. Slightly more effort to install but certainly a smart approach and better product.
